Simply spray the paint onto desired smooth surfaces. Why Are Our Silver Screen Paints Acoustically Transparent? The Sound Absorption Coefficient (SAC) measures how much sound energy a material absorbs when sound waves pass through it. In our testing, SAC was measured using a 12mm gypsum board, a common building material. SAC values can vary depending on the frequency of the sound waves passing through the material. Different frequencies have different wavelengths, which interact with materials in unique ways. As a result, SAC values are typically presented as a range rather than a fixed number. Our test results are as follows:Unpainted gypsum board: α = 0.04–0.07 Painted gypsum board: α = 0.04–0.07 Since the SAC values remain unchanged after applying our Silver Screen Paint, this confirms that our paint is acoustically transparent. It does not interfere with sound absorption properties, ensuring that audio performance is unaffected when applied to surfaces. Does the Silver Screen Paint work well with both 2D and 3D Projectors?Yes, our full range of Silver Screen Paints is designed to work seamlessly with both 2D and 3D projectors. When used with a 3D projector, the paint accurately preserves the projected image, thus ensuring a fully immersive experience when viewed with 3D glasses. If all Smarter Surfaces products already support 3D projection, why should I choose Silver Screen Paint over them? The gain value of the Silver Screen Paint is the highest in our range by far, designed specifically for 3D projection, because of its unique properties achieved by the silver technology. This means a very high level of light reflectivity without interfering with the polarity of the reflected light delivering an exceptional 3D experience. How Does Silver Screen Paint Preserve Polarity?3D projectors create a three-dimensional effect by projecting two overlapping images, each with a distinct polarization. These images pass through optical filters, thus ensuring that each projection has a specific polarization. When you wear 3D glasses, each lens blocks one of the images, allowing your left and right eyes to see separate visuals, which your brain combines into a 3D image. For this effect to work properly, the projection screen must maintain the original polarization of the light. Silver Screen Paint is designed to be polarity preserving, meaning it does not alter the polarization of the projected light. This ensures that the 3D visuals remain clear, accurate, and fully immersive, just as intended by the projector. What all surfaces can Silver Screen Paint be applied to?Well, our Silver Screen Paint is compatible with an array of surfaces such as wood, plaster, wallboards, metal and composites.
